Sifting of bauxite pebbles

Among other things, the company Trafiroad uses bauxite pebbles as an anti-slip layer on existing asphalt. Immediately after applying an epoxy adhesive, the bauxite pebbles are scattered copiously with a gritter. After the adhesive cures, the excess granules are brushed up with a specially designed sweeper and cleaned for later reuse.

After sweeping up the material, everything is put into bigbags. It is these bigbags that had to be sifted in a smooth manner to separate the bauxite pebbles from twigs, leaves, pebbles ...

After a successful test, a customized machine was designed. Big bags had to be able to stand under and in front of the machine, and a big bag also had to be emptied in 1 motion.
The machine had to be movable, as well as a mobile platform had to be provided. A 0.5 kW vibratory motor was placed on the hopper.
