Bark screening for Bark Terminal (BE)

Bark Terminal from Puurs is a subsidiary of Group Op de Beeck and specializes in the production and trade of soil coverings and soil improvers. The parent company, Op de Beeck BVBA, acts as a wholesaler and supplies approximately 200,000 m³ of bulk materials annually.

For their installation, Bark Terminal chose a FleXiever Mini Screener, mounted on a custom-built frame with a 4.5-meter-long conveyor to discharge the fine fraction. This screening machine is used as the final step in a series of screens to further refine the final product.

The application is aimed at separating long, thin twigs from the bark fraction smaller than 15 mm. To prevent these twigs from falling through unintentionally, the first part of the screen plate is closed. As a result, the twigs first glide horizontally across the screen deck, significantly reducing the chance of unwanted fall-through.
